Vintage Gymnastic Pommel Horse Bench, circa 1940s

Beautiful and original 20th century gymnastics buck in beautiful suede leather and with fully functional extendable legs.

This vintage pommel horse is very sturdy and beautifully made in suede and pinewood. It is signed 'VGS' on the feet. The suede is worn and has a gorgeous patina.

The legs of this vintage gym buck show bangs and scuffs from the many years of use but these only add to the long history of this pommel horse. The brown finish and colour of the wood legs is original and the feet of the gym buck are made of cast iron. The telescoping mechanism on all four legs still works smoothly and easily.
